The Pentecost-present of the first Christians was a witnessing of the power of the Spirit for the future of the Church and the renewal of creation.

“The Ascension does not point to Jesus’ absence, but tells us that he is alive in our midst in a new way.”

We are called to reach across the boundaries—whatever form they might take—and invite others to join us in living out this mission.

we can only say we truly know this Good Shepherd if we are willing to listen to his voice and follow his commands in our daily lives.

Like the first Christians, we are being invited to unpack that experience, discerning the grace of the Resurrection in the many little miracles of our day-to-day lives.

The light of grace lead Cornelius along a new path.

Our Pentecost mission is to share our gifts and spend ourselves nurturing others, drawing them into the unity of the Spirit and the Church, and to open ourselves to the workings of the Spirit in the diversity of the gifts and lives of others.

Jesus disappears from the disciples’ physical sight so that he might become more present to the eyes of their hearts.

Through Jesus and because he has given his life for “his flock,” we have an abundance of life.

We have been re-created for love, for joy, for zeal, and for gratitude. We have been granted the freedom to be truly alive.
